The Knights in tarot represent an advancement, a move forward. These Knights are not as mature as the Kings, they need their armour to protect them from their mistakes.

Knight of Cups

A quarrelsome man who loves conflict and creating confusion. A lying charmer who cannot be trusted, he will walk away when he can get no more.
