The World Meaning of the Symbols.

The World tarot cardThe World in tarot card symbolizes completion and new beginnings. The four figures around the wreath refer to the four fixed zodiac signs of Aquarius, Scorpio, Leo and Taurus. The figure is naked to symbolize unashamed freedom. The red ribbons tying the two halves of the wreath together symbolize courage and passion and the wreath itself symbolizes the joining of the physical world with the spiritual world. The woman holds two wands symbolizing balance.
The World card tells us to get out there and put our newfound knowledge to use, but did we let the lessons sink in.

8 Wunjo: (W or V: Joy.) Joy, comfort, pleasure. Fellowship, harmony, prosperity. Ecstasy, glory, spiritual reward, but also the possibility of going "over the top". If restrained, the meaning is general success and recognition of worth. Wunjo Reversed or Merkstave: Stultification, sorrow, strife, alienation. Delirium, intoxication, possession by higher forces, impractical enthusiasm. Raging frenzy, berzerker.

8. Wunjo: This Rune promises harmony, (personal, domestic and social.) Physical health is either promised, or needs to be attended to. This is a time for new friendships and social (non-sexual) relationships. This may be a time for you to reap the harvest of earlier efforts. Knowledge matures into understanding. Through new clarity existing ambitions, goals or plans may be seen as less desirable than they appeared with a more limited understanding.
